As expected, Iceland was definitely the most unique country, we have been to so far! Iceland's population is around only 330,000 people. The country is surrounded by stunning nature! More than 100 Volcanos, glacier mountains, hot springs (the famous Blue Lagoon), endless waterfalls, ice bergs, geysers, and volcanic rocks.
The most shocking experience for us, was to witness 24 hours of daylight. Couldn't believe it, until we saw it ourselves! We drove around the whole country, and each area offered a completely different scenery. One of the only animals you may see there, are Icelandic horses! They are much smaller in size, than an average horse, but they are not ponies, or in other words, they don't like to be called ponies!
You find different type's of people, architecture and nature in different areas. The food in Iceland is very authentic and traditional. They love their soups, fish and lamb. Overall, the country is expensive. For example, a beer will cost you, $15, and a bowl of delicious soup will cost you around 15-20$. Besides it being an expensive country, we highly recommend you to travel there and explore it! Be ready to experience a country that offers many adventures, hiking trails, endless beautiful landscape and unexpected memories!
