This is our second time travelling to Costa Rica, and this time we explored the coastal side in the surf town of Tamarindo.
Tamarindo has a very laid back vibe with so much to offer. The restaurants are fantastic with many International options. There are lots of shops featuring unique handmade clothing and jewelery. The Tamarindo beach is large with beautiful mountain landscapes surrounding it. You'll see many surfers riding the waves.
If you're looking to get out of Tamarindo there are many day trips you can take like renting an ATV and going to Flamingo beach and taking a shuttle/taxi to Playa Avallanas which is one of the most beautiful beaches we've seen.
In Costa Rica the locals say the phrase "Pura Vida" which literally means "Pure Life" in English but has a much deeper meaning. Pura vida! Means that no matter what your current situation is, life for someone else can always be less fortunate than your own. So you need to consider that maybe...just maybe, your situation isn't all that bad and that no matter how little or how much you have in life, we are all here together and life is short...so start living it "pura vida style".
