We visited Santiago and Valparaiso cities. Santiago is the capital city of Chile. Valparaiso is a port city of Chile's coast. Beside Valparaiso, there is a beach town, called Vina Del Mar, which is a must visit, once you are in Valparaiso.
The highlights of Santiago. *Italian Hot Dog- Santiago is known for their hot dogs! they have more than 50 ingridients to put on their hotdogs. Their most popular one is known, Italian hot dog. It contains of Avocado, Mayo and tomatoes! So delicious!!
*Coffee with legs= Visiting coffee shops where waitresses serve you coffee by wearing nothing except of bra and underwear. Historically, coffee wasn't popular in Santiago. So, they decided to hire women to serve coffee by wearing only bra and underwear. Just like in the strip clubs. What makes if even more special, is that the coffee places, despite its intimacy, they serve only coffee, and open regular business hours. *Street dogs= Santiago is known for treating their street dog with lots of respect and love. Santiago's street dogs are well fed, and being taken care of. They are very friendly.Also, they tend to follow people if they feel connected. *Bellavista Plaza- One of the most attractive nightlife/restaurant plazas, we have ever seen! Beautiful decor, design, as well as, delicious restaurants. Everything around it is live in a very clean and safe way. Makes you want to spend hours there.
The highlights of Valparaiso 1) Colourful houses and graffiti: The first thing you notice in Valparaiso is the colourful houses and graffiti everywhere! Graffiti, as opposed to most of the countries, is highly encouraged in Valparaiso. Artists, all over the world, arrive the city for it. They express their emotions, political views and opinions through graffiti. The colourful houses are covered by endless different paints because the ships left the left over paints at the port, and the locals used it to paint their houses and commercial buildings.
2) Port city: This city existed due to its port. Ships from different countries had to pass by this port to get into their final destinations. So the locals decide to build the city to attract people
