As soon as we arrived to Lima, we instantly took a taxi to the historic downtown area. The main plaza there, was large and surrounded by beautiful buildings. It was filled with so many beautiful churches! One thing that was very noticeable in Lima, is that most of the police officers there, were women. When, we asked why, they said that women are very powerful in Peru, and they are more truthful than men.
As we didn't have a lot of time in Lima, we decided to take a tour bus that drives throughout the highlights of Lima. One of the highlights of the bus tour, was the drive to the mountains, where you can see the whole view of the city, as well as, where the poor people who lima live at. Once, we reached the mountains, the drive was through extremely narrowed roads, towards uphill. At some point, the bus was rolling down, while trying to accelerate, it was a moment of worriness. Once, we reached the top hill, the view from there, was breathtaking.
